Designed by Weiran Chen and George Plionis, two students from Parson’s School of Design in New York, Cairn took the top prize at the 5th Roche Bobois Design Awards. The two-piece back cushion, which evokes the idea of pebbles, and the seat cushion are upholstered with fabrics in natural colour combinations. It’s a very bold and poetic design.
